Importance of preparation

The sports doctor thinks it's important that you read this information carefully so your appointment can go ahead smoothly.

This leaflet explains what you need to know before your medical check-up, what to bring with you and how you can prepare at home.

Periodic Medical Check-up (PMC)

The periodic medical check-up is provided by your employer.

Biometric screening

During the biometric screening, you'll undergo the following examinations, among others:

  • height;
  • weight;
  • skin-fold measurement;
  • blood pressure;
  • eye test (if indicated); for both near and far vision. Important: remember to bring your glasses, reading glasses or contact lenses!
  • resting ECG (electrocardiogram);
  • lung function test.

Please note that you'll be asked to undress down to your underwear for the physical examination.

Sports physician

The sports physician will go over the questionnaire that you completed.

The sports physician will conduct a physical examination and go over the questionnaire with you to review any notable findings.

The sports physician will also discuss the results of the biometric screening and blood tests with you.

Complete the questionnaire 3 days before the check-up!
